Make It Your Own
Why not take a recipe you like and make it your own? It is easy to do with just about any recipe. If you want to use natural sweeteners in a recipe that calls for white sugar, or like using coconut oil instead of butter, a little experimenting will help you mix up a brand new recipe.
Here are a few tips when changing a recipe:
- Try changing only one ingredient at a time to see how the change affects the recipe.
- When changing to a liquid sweetener like honey from a dry sweetener, reduce the overall liquids in the recipe to compensate.
- Change out only half of the amount of an ingredient at first, then gradually work up to more.
